What a year 2020 has been already!
Throughout the UK lock-down we have maintained 31 visitors from the Solomon Islands who are unable to return home due to travel restrictions. It has been particularly hard for the boys to be isolated from friends and family and to get used to the ‘new normal’ of life during a pandemic.
In recent days we have also seen a resurgence of the virus across the world and an increase in regional and localised lockdowns. Here in sunny Hastings, we have been very fortunate that the incidence of the virus so far has been low.
Our intention is to reopen this September and we are working with the relevant authorities to prepare for our boarding population to return. We have learnt a lot already in working with the boys who are here and will continue to refine our practises over the coming weeks.
This is also a fast moving situation with lots of new and different guidelines and information emerging regularly. Please rest assured we are monitoring the official channels and will be following all guidance for the boarding community across the UK.
As grassroots football re-emerges from the pain of the last few months we will continue to prepare our boys to achieve the best preparation for the season ahead and to help them reach their personal education and football goals.
Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions, firstname.lastname@example.org
Hoping you all are safe and well across the Stars Football Family, Simon.
