Pre Season Training

Hello everybody! Welcome to Stars Football and a brief update from our pre-season training camp. The sun most definitely is NOT shining this month of August here in Hastings after we were thoroughly spoilt with 30 degree temperatures in July, but everyday the players certainly are in training.

Good recruitment and planning from Daryl and Macca have seen a balanced group of players with a mixture of short term program boys and many of our longer term College students training to gain the competitive edge for the season ahead. Specialist position and tactical training combined with the pre season physical load means our boys will be ready for the hurly burly of an English autumn soccer program.

At Stars Football we all know the quality of the work our UEFA PRO coach Daryl Willard and Alex McCarthy (Macca) do day to day combined with our excellent pastoral team headed by James – but it is great to hear direct feedback from parents during this first week of camp. An excerpt from an email we received yesterday gives you an idea of the sentiment around the camp:

We have built a team that complements each other to produce a calm environment that is conducive for boys to develop their football skills and study hard to obtain a place at university with full support.

We have already started recruiting students and players for September 2019 and we are happy to consider boys for our September 3rd 2018 sixth form program still too.

if you are interested in joining us this year or next for a short or long term program then email Simon on for more information.

Stars Football May Half Term Program Announced – including the CL final & England V Nigeria at Wembley Stadium

Today I am happy to announce the release of our May half term program running from Saturday 26th May to Sunday 3rd June 2018 at our 12 acre private campus in Hastings, East Sussex. We have included some new activities for this terms program to run alongside our old regular favourites.

The boys all love our traditional Nando’s visit, the mid week cinema night (Han Solo anyone??), the hugely competitive in house PS4 FIFA tournament with trophies and endless bragging rights and of course the big Brighton day out.

Added to these are the new excurisons which I am sure will become firm favourites of the group. The new experiences start on the very first day with our trip to Tonbridge for FootyGolf. I had heard of frisbee golf and of course the Royal and Ancient golf but this is a new one for me… sounds like great fun and I can’t wait to see the boys test themselves and see if they can score under par. I am definitely not going to practise in advance, no sir;)

The biggest events of the week centre, as they should, around big football moments and what could be bigger than … cue the music… hear the dream yessss its Liverpool v Barcelona in the final (maybe)!

THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL is on television the boys first night with us. We will all settle down and watch that on the Jumbo screen in the Cinema Room after an indulgent Fish ‘n Chip supper. Cheat days are allowed in the holidays after all!

The second landmark occasion which closes our half term week with the boys in true style is our scheduled day trip to Wembley Stadium to watch a World Cup warm up match in the flesh: England vs Nigeria. Considering Nigeria beat Argentina comprehensively last Summer and there are one or two with solid Nigerian heritage in the England squad this will be a highly competitive game.

What a way to close the week. Of course we have the best football training around and Daryl will work with the boys throughout the training program and matches to enable a progress report to be sent home at the end of the week. Alex McCarthy also known as our performance director and video wizard will be producing video coverage of the matches and clips packages for all the boys too.

Take a look at the schedule below and please contact to book your place.

Kanu signed a 4 year contract to partner and endorse Stars Football to provide their Education and Football programs in England.
